Job Title: Production Manager

Job Description

The role of a Production Manager involves overseeing the end-to-end factory operations across multiple shifts. This includes managing supervisors and production workforce to deliver safe, high-quality output at optimal cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing daily/weekly/monthly production planning, scheduling, and on-time execution across shifts.
  • Driving efficiency, yield, and OEE; reducing waste and downtime through Lean methods.
  • Ensuring SOPs, recipes, and specifications are followed; resolving floor issues quickly.
  • Planning RM/PM requirements with Procurement; maintaining optimal inventories (FIFO, freshness).
  • Overseeing manpower allocation, rosters, and overtime; partnering with HR on hiring and staffing.
  • Leading factory trials and scale-up for new products from pilot to full production.
  • Maintaining FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and safety compliance at all times.
  • Tracking and reporting KPIs (volume, OEE, yield, waste, productivity); analyzing trends and implementing improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery/pastry chef, food technology or engineering. They should possess 10+ years of experience in production/plant leadership within bread/bakery/confectionery.

The candidate must have proven multi-shift management and supervisor leadership experience. They should also have deep knowledge of bakery processes, equipment, and ingredients.

A strong command of production planning, inventory control, and Lean/CI tools is essential. Additionally, they should have working knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, and related food-safety protocols.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek a strong leader who can coach, set standards, and hold teams accountable. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a hands-on approach on the shop floor.

They should be process-driven and data-led, continuously improving systems and SOPs. A clear communicator with management, supervisors, and operators is required.

Linguistic skills in Tamil and Hindi are preferred but not mandatory.
