Field Service Engineer - O&M Operations Specialist

This role is responsible for handling operations and maintenance projects, ensuring timely resolution of complaints, troubleshooting, and training operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage O&M Projects:
  • Oversee the successful execution of operations and maintenance tasks, meeting customer requirements efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of field work across all sites.
Complaint Management and Downtime Resolution:
  • Respond promptly to client complaints and service issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick resolution.
  • Ensure all complaints are logged, tracked, and addressed within SLAs.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce complaint recurrence.
Operator Training and Troubleshooting:
  • Perform troubleshooting activities to resolve technical issues faced by operators.
  • Provide hands-on training on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate Operator Performance and Prepare Job Descriptions.
Client Communication and Feedback:
  • Maintain open communication with clients to understand concerns, provide updates, and gather feedback on service quality.
  • Use client feedback to improve service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
Preventive Maintenance and Breakdown Support:
  • Oversee preventive maintenance tasks according to the schedule.
  • Effectively manage breakdown maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
Record Keeping and Manpower Handling:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work conducted, updating logs regularly.
  • Document work performed during breakdowns and track modifications or repairs made.
  • Manage field service teams, allocating adequate manpower for service tasks.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to optimize service delivery, reducing costs and enhancing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of operations and maintenance processes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards.
  • Experience in managing field teams and coordinating manpower for service delivery.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites and address urgent issues as needed.
