Job Description

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.

The successful candidate will have advanced technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio, as well as experience of projects of a similar nature.

Key responsibilities include leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards, preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, and presenting financial reports for clients.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, cost management, or civil engineering, professional membership or working towards (MRICS, RICS, or equivalent), and demonstrable professional or personal development.

Developed commercial and financial acumen, knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction are essential skills for this role.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of wellbeing of the people they manage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, cost management, or civil engineering.
  • Experience of projects of a similar nature.
  • Professional membership or working towards (MRICS, RICS, or equivalent).
