Aviation Project Lead

Job Description:

As a seasoned aviation project lead, you will oversee and deliver strategic projects for our clients in the airline sector. You will possess a deep understanding of airline operations, systems, and processes, with a proven track record in project management, client engagement, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of airline domain projects, ensuring scope, timeline, cost, and quality objectives are met.
  • Engage closely with airline clients to understand business needs, define project scope, and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, business analysts, and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and report project progress through regular status updates, dashboards, and stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; PMP/Prince2 certification is a plus.
  • 15+ years of total experience, with at least 5+ years managing projects in the airline or aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of airline systems such as Passenger Service Systems, Departure Control Systems, revenue management, loyalty systems, or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul.
  • Hands-on experience in managing enterprise applications, digital transformation, or system integration projects in airline context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to work in a global delivery model and manage geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Tier-1 airline clients or global aviation service providers.
  • Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, SAFe, etc.).
  • Exposure to IATA standards and airline regulatory frameworks.
