Job Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing operations and maintenance for all projects, including corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance. The role holder ensures efficient execution of operations, maintenance, engineering, training, and administration for the function.
  • Ensures effective planning for operations and maintenance activities for the region, focusing on cost and quality.
  • Develops, plans, and implements goals and objectives for the operations and maintenance department.
  • Prepares and monitors the annual budget for all O&M activities.
  • Ensures adequate funding and minimizes the cost of operations and implementation of projects.
  • Ensures average annual operating earnings growth.
  • Ensures timely delivery of objectives laid down in contracts.
  • Maintains customer relationships and ensures timely communication to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures effective implementation and control of operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensures suitable manpower planning as per approved organization chart.
  • Ensures maintenance works are carried out efficiently and safely for economical and reliable plant operations as per quality, safety, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance to statutory and labor laws as per the Industrial Act.
  • Approves all expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials, and additional plant O&M requirements.
  • Ensures effective usage of methodologies for optimum performance and reliability of plant equipment and systems.
  • Reviews, controls, implements, and documents required equipment design changes in a timely manner.
  • Assesses risks in the plant location and plans for mitigation.
  • Monitors activities to optimize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensures availability of procedures and documents to support and direct engineers.
  • Generates timely reports to be shared with management/client.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
