Job Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and ensure the quality assurance processes in a food industry setting meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and safety requirements.

This position entails ensuring the highest level of product quality from raw materials to finished goods by driving continuous improvement in production and safety processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Management:

  • Develop and implement quality control systems, policies, and procedures that align with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations through regular audits, inspections, and testing processes across all production stages.

Process Monitoring:

  • Supervise the quality control team to monitor and evaluate the production process, ensuring consistency and safety throughout the entire operation.
  • Develop protocols for raw material inspection, in-process control, and finished product testing to guarantee quality standards are met.
  • Swiftly address any quality deviations or non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Compliance & Certification:

  • Maintain certifications and compliance with industry standards through proper documentation and collaboration with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and process efficiency through collaboration with R&D, production, and procurement teams.
  • Lead quality training programs for staff to maintain high standards and awareness of quality and safety practices.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor the quality control team, ensuring proper resource allocation and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control methods, and industry certifications.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and tools.
