Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced financial leader to join our organization as Senior Financial Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and cash forecasting, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.

Financial Expertise

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changing laws and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, coordinating with regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Lead GST audits, assessments, and departmental notices, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Oversee income tax return filing, collaborating with external auditors as necessary.

Strategic Financial Support

  • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial planning and risk management, identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigating potential risks.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts, adjusting strategies as needed.

Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, promoting transparency and cooperation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with a focus on leadership and strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards, with a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in real-world settings.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders.
