Software Packaging Specialist

Work with us to develop and refine the process for preparing software packages for deployment on Windows operating systems.

  • This involves employing available setup commands/scripting as well as repackaging and customizing setup applications using tooling such as InstallShield, RayPack, etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the appropriate packaging and delivery approach is used depending on the application.
  • Execute the steps of the application packaging process within Service Level Agreement (SLA) limits.
  • Resolve incidents and requests related to packages in accordance with the SLA.
  • Liaise with change management, customers, application owners, and vendors where needed.
  • Manage and support customer environment built with Windows client operating systems, Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft Defender, SoftwareCentral and the Microsoft Intune product family (Microsoft Configuration Manager / Intune).

You will be responsible for:

  • The preparation, testing, and release of software within the customer environment.
  • Contributing to the Business As Usual (BAU) support of the Endpoint environment.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also be expected to:

  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and logical reasoning skills.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the MSI and MSIX packaging frameworks.
  • Have a working understanding of Windows 11 and AD Group Policies.
  • Be proficient in PowerShell Scripting and basic VB scripting.
  • Operate effectively in an ITIL-based operations environment using ITSM toolsets such as ServiceNow.
