Purchasing Manager Job Description

The Purchasing Manager plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for procuring high-quality materials at optimal prices and ensuring timely delivery.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Purchasing of high-quality materials at competitive prices
  • End-to-end procurement of assigned materials with timely delivery and payment to suppliers
  • Inventory management by optimizing lot size and reducing delivery lead time
  • Transferring excess dead stock to other sites
  • Cultivating relationships with vendors through collaborative improvement projects
  • Effective coordination with all sites through regular site visits and strong networking within the organization

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful as a Purchasing Manager, you will need:

  • Expertise in construction materials and experience in handling end-to-end procurement
  • Ability to enhance product value and negotiate annual rate contracts
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills for effective coordination with sites
  • Research orientation and ability to monitor and review performance regularly

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in purchase with additional advantage from real estate experience
  • Strong understanding of property market dynamics, valuation, and laws
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in real estate management software and tools
