Job Title: Officer Collection

  • The primary objective of this position is to negotiate payment schedules with customers while taking into consideration their current financial situation. This includes ensuring that debt satisfaction is met.
  • You will be responsible for tracking portfolios for specific buckets within your assigned area and managing delinquency on a bucket-wise and DPD basis. Additionally, you will focus on non-starters.
  • Your role requires providing efficient customer service regarding collection issues. This includes processing customer refunds, reviewing account adjustments, resolving client discrepancies, and handling short payments.
  • Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities. This involves making customer calls, adjusting accounts, writing off small balances, reconciling customers, and processing credit memos when necessary.
  • Ensuring that customer files are updated by recording times and dates of contact made and noting information received about the debt is crucial in this role.
  • You will work closely with the agency's tracing team to identify defaulters and assets, suggesting remedial action where required.
  • Identifying defaulting accounts and investigating reasons for default while maintaining a healthy relationship with the customer is essential.
  • In cases where the collection process needs acceleration, you may enlist the support of sales and senior management. This includes collaborating with the collection manager (court receiver) in repossessing assets and seeking legal and police assistance when needed.
  • Maintaining compliance with all Audit/NHB/IRB regulations as well as company policies and procedures is a critical aspect of this role.
Requirements
