Portfolio Investment Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and manage portfolio details of various private equity funds by analyzing cash flows, quarterly financial reports, and fund performance.
  • Prepare and update investor-specific quarterly reporting templates to ensure timely information dissemination.
  • Analyze PE fund performance by reviewing key metrics such as investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, and financial KPIs like revenue, EBITDA, net debt, and valuation/leverage multiples.
  • Track operational KPIs and updates on a quarterly basis to maintain portfolio efficiency.
  • Develop and update fund track records and reconcile data using cash flow notices for accurate portfolio management.
  • Calculate fund multiples and IRRs using cash flows and perform attribution and value creation analysis to inform investment decisions.
  • Reconcile portfolio-level operational data, including geographical presence, headquarters, and portfolio leverage to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain timely information and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree or professional certifications (CFA, CA, MBA, CCRA, CIIA, CAIA) to demonstrate expertise in finance and investment.
  • 1-10 years of experience in relevant financial services, including management reporting or operational finance, with research experience preferred to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Access is an added advantage to streamline data analysis and presentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to identify process improvements and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and ensure seamless information exchange.
