Kitchen Assistant

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations and assisting the kitchen staff in various tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
2. Dishwashing and Cleaning:
- Wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen surfaces to the highest standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen area.
- Dispose of trash and maintain recycling practices.
3. Ingredient and Supply Management:
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely ordering and restocking.
- Help with stock rotation and labeling to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
4. Equipment and Station Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces to prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist in equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
5. Support During Service:
- Assist in plating and garnishing dishes to enhance presentation and appeal.
- Ensure timely food delivery to meet customer expectations.
- Help with basic food assembly to ensure consistency and quality.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless teamwork and collaboration.
- Follow instructions and work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
- Provide assistance to colleagues as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
