Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis to join our culinary team at Crowne Plaza Kochi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Chef in the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities.
Key Responsibilities- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Control food stock and food cost in your section, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Food Preparation: Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites, adhering to recipes and preparation techniques.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other sections to coordinate requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation, staying up-to-date with new products, recipes, and techniques.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry. You should be able to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be quality-oriented with a focus on details. Additionally, you should be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and have technical proficiency in related software.
