GIS Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled GIS Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the usability of our mapping applications.

The role involves ensuring data accuracy, configuring GIS tools, and supporting users in effectively applying geospatial solutions to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for GIS mapping applications through multiple channels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, data, and functionality issues.
  • Conduct training sessions and create user guides, FAQs, and documentation.
  • Assist in geospatial data acquisition, processing, and integration.
  • Configure and customize GIS applications, scripts, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address user needs and deliver solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support for GIS applications or related software.
  • Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial analysis, and mapping concepts.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar).
  • Familiarity with geospatial data formats (shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML) and coordinate systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
