Product Owner Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Product Owner is to ensure that the product backlog is up-to-date, prioritized, and refined to meet business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize product requirements through collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and QA.
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of customer needs and market trends.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and validate assumptions.
  • Ensure that product backlogs are well-structured, transparent, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field.
  • 5+ years experience in product management, agile development, or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products and features.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, or similar productivity tools.
