Job Title: Strategic Portfolio Manager

Job Summary:

As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of personal loans through digital channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Underwriting Strategy:
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize portfolio performance, collaborating with data science teams to analyze and validate underwriting models.
  3. Determine performance benchmarks and identify course corrections in case of deviation.
  4. Automate credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  5. Determine optimal pricing based on segmentation.
  6. Standardize policies and processes for efficient portfolio management.
  7. Track portfolio profitability and risk thresholds.

Portfolio Performance Monitoring:

  1. Conduct regular portfolio analysis and recommend policy changes to stakeholders based on outcomes.
  2. Review existing portfolios and conduct analyses to identify high-risk segments.
  3. Take actions to mitigate risks identified based on portfolio performance.
  4. Monitor delinquent accounts to meet industry standards.
  5. Identify technological solutions to enhance processes and portfolio management functions.
  6. Analyze management information systems to monitor portfolio performance and risk.

Partnership Management:

  1. Establish relationships with channel partners and understand their products and target segments.
  2. Identify required information from channel partners at application time.
  3. Develop policies based on products, available information, and prevailing models.
  4. Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments.
  5. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  6. Monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs, clearing bottlenecks if any.

Relationship Building:

Manage relations with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations.
