Interior Components Engineer

Develop innovative interior components for the automotive industry, utilizing expertise in engineering design and technical development to deliver high-quality solutions.

Job Summary:

This role involves leading the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of interior components for new or ongoing program development (OPD) programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive body cabin systems, plastic and sheet metal materials, and design rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of commodities and components of various projects, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining worldwide engineering release systems.
  • Deliver commodity plans to quality, cost, and time, including detailed planning of test and development stages.
  • Manage change requests, expenditure forecasting, and relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of program milestones.
  • Develop and implement design verification test plans, collaborating with engineering test teams to rectify issues.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience leading project teams, resolving business, technical, and process issues.
  • Strong knowledge of product creation and delivery processes, including change control and product definition.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 & V6, Enovia, Teamcenter Engineering (TCE), and other relevant software tools.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • PC literacy: Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Qualification: BE/B.Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.
