Procurement Manager Job Description

The role involves overseeing commercial and contractual aspects within the IT spend category, including managing relationships with suppliers and internal business partners.

  • End-to-end commercial and procurement management for all IT categories.
  • Proper spend categorization to ensure compliance.
  • Strategic and tactical project leadership, sourcing approach application, and detailed statement of work creation.
  • Senior stakeholder management and relationship establishment.
  • Procurement process and policy guidance to internal business partners.
  • Contract risk and mitigation identification and solution articulation.
  • Category strategy implementation, decision tree leverage, and play book execution.
  • Supplier base consolidation and alternative source pursuit.
  • Market research and trend monitoring for assigned categories.
  • Accurate and continuous project management, contract conclusion, and expenditure reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Significant experience of procurement/sourcing and contracting for Cloud Services.
  • Category cost structure analysis understanding.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Electronic procurement/sourcing tools (e.g. Ariba, Ivalua) experience.
  • End-to-end Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and tools knowledge.
  • Compliance-driven culture and supplier screening program evaluation capability.
  • Strong presentation skills using Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to extract procurement requirements and translate them into contract language.
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Tenacious and resilient approach with collaborative style.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
