Job Title: Production Chemist

As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products. Your expertise in chemical production will be vital in preparing and executing batches following standard operating procedures.

  1. Batch Execution: Prepare and execute chemical production batches with accuracy and precision, adhering to established protocols.
  2. Chemical Handling: Safely manage pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operate pressure reactors in line with company policies.
  3. Filtration Techniques: Perform filtration of low-melting solids and apply optimal filtration techniques to achieve desired results.
  4. Deviation Management: Report any deviations from specifications and collaborate with senior chemists to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and deviations from standard procedures.
  6. Reporting and Communication: Generate reports and summaries as required by production and quality control teams, effectively communicating complex scientific concepts.
  7. Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment, promptly identifying and reporting any safety hazards or concerns.
  8. Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters, performing routine maintenance to ensure functionality.
  9. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development, communicating effectively to ensure a smooth production process.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in chemistry from a reputable university.
  • Experience: Up to 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical production.
  • Soft Skills: Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands: This role requires strong visual acuity, fine motor skills, ability to sustain focus for extended periods, and physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor.
