Job Title: Manufacturing Process Specialist

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

  • To guarantee that planned processes meet their process capabilities and efficiency.
  • Continual improvement of process capabilities and line capacity.
  • Checking the feasibility of new NPD projects (CCPM – Critical Chain Project Management).
  • Ensuring the safety of people and processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Improving lines layouts and ergonomics to increase productivity.
  • Building improvements to meet new product requirements.
  • Resolving customer quality complaints.
  • Maintaining machine building, automation standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Quality Planning for New Product Development: Checking feasibility, planning new process, planning tooling.
  • Giving inputs to engineering in Design Review, setting APQP procedures.
  • Planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and machines.
  • Establishing the capability of new processes for new products.
  • Ensuring in-house manufacturing capacity meets market demands.
  • Supporting procurement and replenishment of JIG & FIXTURE.
  • Releasing SOPs, Specification sheets for each process.
  • Releasing time standards for production - IE activity - VSM.

Knowledge:

 

  • Mass production single-piece assembly manufacturing setups.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes of sheet metal work, plastic molding, tool manufacturing, and automation is preferred.
  • Quality systems like APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 6Sigma, Kaizen.
  • Process design, feasibility of product manufacturing, machine selection.
  • Tools and fixture designing, AutoCAD.
  • Understanding layouts, flow, types, takt time, cycle time, motion study, information flow, line balancing.
  • Understanding value stream mapping, lean manufacturing with scale-up/down possibilities.
