Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to manage various accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance-related tasks.

This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in GST, Income Tax, TDS, Tax Audit, and Statutory Audit. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and drafting skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Assist in Statutory Audits and Tax Audits under the Income Tax Act, preparing working papers and documentation required for audits.
    • Support the implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Taxation Services:
    • File Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, and companies, and prepare and submit GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
    • Handle TDS computation, payment, filing, and issuance of Form 16/16A, and manage Professional Tax registrations and compliance.
  • Notice Handling and Registration:
    • Draft and file responses to Income Tax notices (e.g., 143(1), 139(9), etc.), and reply to GST notices, Show Cause Notices, and queries from departments.
    • Manage GST registration and amendments for businesses, assist NGOs and Trusts in obtaining 12A & 80G registrations, and support Startup India registration and related compliance.
  • Compliance and Legal Updates:
    • Ensure timely filings and updates under GST, TDS, and Income Tax laws, processing amendments in registrations (address change, PAN updates, etc.).
    • Stay updated on statutory changes and implement them accordingly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • General Accounting Support:
    • Prepare details for Form 3CD and other tax audit-related schedules, and assist in preparation of data for audits, assessments, and inspections.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, support in budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and book finalization.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws: GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.
  • Experience in Tax Audits and Statutory Audits.
  • Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
