Job Title: Global Trade Compliance Specialist

The role of Global Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for the implementation and support of SAP GTS projects based on S4 Hana technology.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration, as this role will involve working directly with multiple stakeholders to implement SAP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Ownership: Act as the primary point of contact for all GTS-related processes.
• Requirements Validation: Lead requirements validation, workshops, development of functional design, design functional and UAT test scripts, and assist with training development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising business SMEs, architects, developers, and SIs on current processes and propose solutions to enhance current systems.
• Complex Configuration: Identify, recommend, and implement complex configuration solutions and carry out full cycle configuration to meet business needs; create and update associated documentation.
• WRICEF Object Development: Handle and lead the development of WRICEF objects independently in collaboration with the ABAP team.
• SAP GTS Configuration: Customize and configure the SAP GTS module to align with global trade compliance requirements, including tariff classification, SPL, export control, import/export compliance, and product classification.
• Compliance Management: Lead the design and implementation of compliance processes, including sanctioned party list screening, embargo checks, and legal control, ensuring adherence to global trade regulations.
• Customs Management: Drive the configuration and optimization of import/export declaration processes and customs procedures to support efficient and compliant cross-border operations.
• Risk Management: Oversee the setup of product classification, preference determination, and origin management to reduce duty costs and ensure regulatory alignment across regions.
• Integration: Enable seamless integration with government platforms by configuring electronic filing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of trade documents.
• Trade Compliance: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain effective trade compliance processes, including import/export documentation, embargo/sanction list screening, and restricted party screening.
• Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the SAP GTS system, including the maintenance of product master data, customs information, and compliance documentation.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues to enhance their understanding of SAP GTS functionality, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations and compliance laws to ensure ongoing compliance and make necessary system adjustments.
• Troubleshooting: Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting SAP GTS-related issues and implementing solutions to resolve system and process discrepancies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8–12 years of hands-on SAP GTS experience with strong configuration expertise.
• Minimum 2–3 global implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of international trade compliance regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance.
• Extensive integration experience with SAP SD, MM, EHS, FI, and SAP TM.
• Proven ability to gather application-specific project requirements, participate in workshops, launch discussions with architects, and drive detailed application design in SAP S4 Hana.
• Experience with S/4 HANA, aware of differences between releases and innovations in each release.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP module-specific User exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reports.
• Familiarity with Supply Chain business models and Fiori UI.
• Understanding of business functionalities in the Aerospace and Defense industry is an added advantage.
• Relevant SAP Certifications in SAP EWM is an added advantage.
