Geospatial Data Science Opportunity

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Scientist to join our team in India. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the development of innovative geospatial solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, Python programming, and experience with ESRI products such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions using geospatial technologies.

This role requires:

  • 5+ years of practical machine learning experience

  • Proven data science and AI skills with Python and PyTorch

  • Experience with building and optimizing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models

  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:

    • Traditional and deep learning-based computer vision techniques

    • Convolutional neural networks (CNNs)

    • Transformer models applied to computer vision

    • 3D deep learning with Point Clouds, meshes, or Voxels

  • A fundamental understanding of mathematical and machine learning concepts

  • Experience with applied statistics concepts

  • Ability to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources and sinks

  • Experience with data visualization in Jupyter Notebooks using matplotlib and other libraries

  • Experience with hyperparameter-tuning and training models to a high level of accuracy

  • Self-motivated, life-long learner

  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field with knowledge of RS & GIS

  • Knowledge and experience of ESRI products like ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, etc.

  • Strong communication skills, including to non-technical audiences

  • Strong Python coding skills

  • Open to travel and ready to work at client side (India)
