Senior MEP Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) Systems Engineer to lead the execution, testing and commissioning of MEP systems for datacentre projects.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end execution of MEP packages, ensuring seamless coordination with design teams, OEM vendors, civil engineers and clients.
  • Coordinate project execution, testing and commissioning activities at site, managing installation and validating MEP shop drawings, SLDs, equipment layouts and schematic diagrams.
  • Ensure integration of MEP services with IT, BMS and DCIM systems, guaranteeing optimal system performance and reliability.
Mechanical and Electrical Systems Management
  • Supervise installation and testing of MV and LV systems, including HT Panels, Transformers, DG Sets, UPS, CSS, LT Panels, PDUs, Busducts and Switchgear.
  • Conduct FAT/SAT, relay testing, load testing, synchronization and protection checks to ensure compliance with IEC, IS and IEEE standards.
  • Plan and execute T&C of all MEP systems with OEM vendors, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Support Integrated System Testing (IST) for datacentre readiness, working closely with project stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
Project Execution and Coordination
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation and material procurement, tracking progress and identifying potential risks and mitigation measures.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, QA/QC checklists, test reports and as-built documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with consultants, OEMs, contractors and clients to obtain approvals and handovers, maintaining open communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, with certification in Project Management (PMP/Prince2), knowledge of BMS/DCIM systems and Green Datacentre concepts.
