
Commercial Sales Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our commercial efforts across the region in India and maximize market opportunities. As a Commercial Sales Leader, your primary management responsibility will be managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions in India domestic and regulated market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Buisness Development Strategy
- You will contribute to the development of business growth strategies on global accounts, focusing on objectives such as revenue expansion and customer retention.
- Determine effective strategies for selected accounts, leveraging your expertise to drive business results.
- You will build wallet share of business for Biocon API products in India, fostering strong relationships with customers and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Leading Sales and Account Management
- Lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and accurate monthly order forecasting for production planning.
- You will grow share of business, expand relationships within the customer, and identify influencers, gatekeepers, decision makers within the region of India.
- Deploy a consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
- Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from order receipt to shipment despatch as per customer requirement.
- Coordinate with planning/production and Logistics/Shipping teams to ensure timely despatch, shipping documentations, and payment receipt by due dates from customers.
- Necessary interaction/co-ordination with various departments for samples, regulatory requirements, DMFs, and other documentation for new customers & regulatory approvals to meet statutory requirements.
- Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing range of products in untapped regions.
Requirements:
- At least 15 to 20 years of relevant industry experience in API sales and business development (India market focus preferred).
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines both inside and outside the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to negotiation and closing of partnership agreements.
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship management skills, strategic thinking, open-minded, and innovative thinking.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with incomplete information.
- Good negotiation and presentation techniques.
- Well-versed sales techniques, consultative selling, customer psychology, and purchasing patterns.
