Overseeing Financial Operations

This role involves managing all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations. As we aim to achieve significant growth over the next couple of years, it is crucial to establish a strong financial foundation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute all financial activities such as payroll processing, vendor payments and collections/accounts receivables.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory compliance requirements, including Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital management.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors.
  • Support fundraising efforts by developing investor presentations and financial projections.
  • Establish and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Drive operational efficiency by monitoring costing activities and identifying cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee the completion of statutory audits from a reputable audit firm.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance controllership, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience building a finance function from scratch for a scaling SaaS company is desirable.
  • Adaptability and willingness to adapt to uncertainty are essential.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience in SaaS accounting is advantageous.
