PMS Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PMS analyst to play a pivotal role in our organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in enterprise computing, with experience in project management and cost analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Analyzing various aspects of PMS (maker manuals/exported data from other ERP systems) and other modules to prepare documents as per the need.
    • Understanding and documenting client requirements.
    • Analyzing gaps between user requirements and our features and providing input to the team.
    • Testing and checking functional aspects of modules developed by us and producing desired reports/outcomes.
    • Contribute to training internal/external users on PMS and related modules whenever required.
    • Creating software-related documents (software feature documents, help documents, FAQs, workflow documents etc.) as per the requirement of the team.
  • Ship Visit and Other Responsibilities:
    • Attaining vessels for implementation/issue fixing and training purposes.
    • Assisting vessels in the data collection process and updating PMS data onboard.
    • Training shipboard personnel on the use of our system and other modules, including database backup and system recovery.
    • Providing support to vessels/remote offices for our system and related modules.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3rd/4th engineer or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Shore experience in a shipping management company as a PMS coordinator/controller with an educational background in naval architecture and marine engineering.
  • Experience and deep understanding of enterprise computing needs.
  • Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent typing and analyzing skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
