Production Planning Expertise Sought

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge in production planning and scheduling to join our organization. This role will involve analyzing and documenting business processes to identify areas of improvement, configuring and customizing SAP PP/QM modules, and collaborating with stakeholders to design effective planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and document production planning and scheduling business processes to identify improvements and ensure alignment with SAP PP/QM capabilities.
2. Configure and customize the SAP PP/QM module to meet production planning requirements, including master data, planning strategies, heuristics, and scheduling logic.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders in manufacturing, supply chain, and IT to gather requirements and design effective planning solutions.
4. Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and provide training and support to end-users for planning and scheduling functions.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues in SAP PP/QM, ensuring minimal disruption to production planning operations.
6. Participate in SAP projects such as implementations, rollouts, and upgrades involving PP/QM, contributing to project scoping, planning, and coordination.
7. Support integration between PP/QM and other SAP modules (such as MFG ,MM, SD, APO, S/4HANA) as well as external systems.
8. Manage data migration activities related to materials, BOMs, routings, and planning master data.

Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP PP/QM (either in APO or S/4HANA embedded PP/QM).
2. Strong understanding of production planning concepts (e.g., MRP, finite scheduling, capacity planning, pegging, planning heuristics).
3. Experience configuring planning parameters, production data structures, and scheduling strategies in SAP.
4. Familiarity with CIF integration between ECC/S4 and APO (if applicable).
5. Experience writing functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
6. SAP S/4HANA PP/QM experience is a strong plus.
7. Understanding of manufacturing industry processes and shop floor integration is an advantage.
8. Fluency in English is required.
