Logical Reasoning Researcher

We are seeking a researcher to develop and evaluate physics-based logical reasoning tasks for large language models. The ideal candidate will have expertise in theoretical physics and experience with AI systems.

The selected candidate will work independently, designing experiments and analyzing results to improve the performance of these models. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of AI technology and push the boundaries of what is possible with large language models.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement physics-based logical reasoning tasks for large language models
  • Evaluate the performance of these models using metrics such as accuracy and efficiency
  • Analyze results and provide insights on how to improve model performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into product development

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Physics or related field
  • Strong background in theoretical physics and experience with AI systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Able to provide clear, constructive feedback with examples
  • Strong written communication, especially in remote settings
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Stable computer and internet access

Contract Details:

  • Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST
  • Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave)
  • Duration of contract: 1 month
  • Selection Process: Task-based assessment for shortlisted candidates, followed by a contract offer with defined timelines and workload
