Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations Management:
    • Lead end-to-end financial management and process execution, including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, order-to-cash for respective business units.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close.
    • Maintain compliance with GAAP (Ind-AS) and enforce company accounting policies, practices, and internal controls to ensure consistency in accounting.
    • Deliver accurate books of accounts - profit & loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
    • Guarantee proper support and reconciliation of financial accounts.
    • Conduct a comprehensive review of the financial close with finance leadership, including month-end review, finalization of P&L accounts, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
    • Run a cadence with internal teams to identify aging and take suitable actions.
    • Responsible for interim audits, due diligence, statutory audits, GST audits, etc.
    • Prepare the company for statutory & tax audits, financial due diligence.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Support specific business units with end-to-end finance operational support.
    • Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for the specific business unit.
    • Provide timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of results to the business.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Serve as a single point of truth for numbers – key financial metrics and performance drivers.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including investors, partners, and vendors.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Knowledge of nodal account, payment gateway reconciliations, e-commerce transactions, etc. (preferable).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Desirable: start-up experience and scaling up a start-up through Series-A, Series-B funding efforts.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and reporting software.
  • Individuals well-versed in dealing with auditors, consultants are preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, Lookup, Conditional Functions, Power BI, etc.).
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • High-energy individual with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
