About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Manager to lead our commercial properties portfolio. As a key team member, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with lender, tax, and investor requirements.

Your primary focus will be on overseeing property-level accounting, including reviewing 3rd party accounting for consistency and accuracy, managing rent rolls and lease maintenance, and preparing financial reports.

You will also be responsible for annual budgets, quarterly budget re-projections, tax basis amortization and depreciation calculations, providing support to 3rd party MRI users, and reviewing operating and tax escalations.

In addition, you will work with our construction professionals to provide accounting for development projects, prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed, and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial properties owned by various funds and joint ventures
  • Review and approve operating and tax escalations
  • Provide accounting for development projects
  • Prepare financial reports and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with lender, tax, and investor requirements

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of property accounting experience, with the majority in commercial real estate
  • Experience with funds and/or joint ventures
  • Knowledge of fair value GAAP, tax accounting, IFRS, and TRS (Taxable REIT Subsidiaries)
  • Proficiency with tenant recoveries (CAM) and understanding of waterfall calculations
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multitask and prioritize
