Job Description:

MosChip is a leading semiconductor and embedded system design company focused on innovative solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, who will be responsible for developing top-level floor plans, performing placement, partitioning, and scan-chain-reordering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing top-level floor plans, performing placement, partitioning, and scan-chain-reordering tasks
  • Synthesizing clock trees and optimizing timing while ensuring signal integrity closure
  • Performing design rule checks (DRC) and logical vs. schematic (LVS) checks, as well as antenna checks
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to physical design engineers
  • Collaborating with front-end ASIC teams to resolve issues
  • Leveraging low power design techniques such as voltage islands, power gating, and substrate-bias
  • Ensuring timing closure on DDR2/DDR3/PCIE interfaces
  • Utilizing expertise in Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools and scripting languages like PERL and TCL
  • Demonstrating strong physical verification skills, including static timing analysis in Primetime or Primetime-SI
