Capital Project Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of capital projects across the organization. The Capital Project Specialist will play a key role in assigning project numbers, creating AFE numbers, and performing capitalization.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to run regular capital project reports to track spend against budget and monitor timely completion of projects. They will also be responsible for reconciling the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Capital Project Specialist will need to run monthly depreciation in SAP for all fixed assets in each of the company codes of responsibility. They will also perform manual depreciation adjustments, conduct analysis related to fixed assets as needed, and prepare CIP and CAPEX reports.

Key qualifications for this role include knowledge of WBSE elements and WBSE write-off processes, as well as experience with accounting systems such as SAP. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
