About the Role

Pahle India Foundation partners with state and central governments to design, implement, and assess evidence-based policies.

This role involves engaging closely with state government institutions to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy design.

Key responsibilities include conducting applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues, analyzing large datasets, and applying econometric/statistical techniques for policy insights.

Drafting policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers is another key responsibility. Engagement with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders is also essential.

You will contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges. Your work will include supporting project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.

Collaborating with other researchers and ensuring high-quality outputs is critical to this role.

A Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputed institution is required. A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia is necessary.

Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics is required, along with demonstrated ability to design and independently manage research projects.

Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are also essential.

Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment is crucial.
