Value Chain Promotion Strategist Job Opportunity

The Role Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to take on a challenging role as a Value Chain Promotion Strategist. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to promote value chains, focusing on business model development, market linkages, and access to finance.

You will work closely with private actors and support sustainable, community-led enterprises. Your goal will be to build strong partnerships and create lasting impacts in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities include formulating and modifying strategies and solutions, conducting technical workshops, identifying key market players, facilitating linkages and financing initiatives, developing capacity-building modules, drafting and submitting reports, and maintaining active engagement with market actors and beneficiaries.

  • Business Model Development: Develop innovative business models that promote value chain growth and sustainability.
  • Market Linkages: Identify and establish connections between key stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and financiers.
  • Access to Finance: Facilitate access to financial resources for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: Environmental Science, Forestry, Finance, or Business.
  • Language Proficiency: English and Hindi.
  • Professional Experience: 8 years in natural resources management, agroforestry, and nature-based businesses; 5 years in value chain promotion, marketing, business model development, and establishing market linkages.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Experience in facilitating technical workshops and training sessions.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
