Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Sustainability IntegrationSupport business leadership in shaping and executing procurement strategies with a sustainability-first mindset. Lead sustainability initiatives within the procurement function, aligning sourcing practices with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals. Act as a subject matter expert on sustainable sourcing and guide internal teams and stakeholders accordingly.
ESG & Risk ManagementLead ESG-focused sourcing strategies including risk assessment, mapping of raw material supply chains, and development of supplier assessment frameworks. Ensure supplier evaluations incorporate metrics like carbon footprint, life cycle assessments, fair labor practices, and governance standards. Integrate sustainable agricultural practices including biodiversity, soil health, and water management into sourcing models.
Certifications & ComplianceManage and implement farm-level sustainability certifications (e.g., FSA, UEBT), ensuring ongoing compliance through regular audits and assessments. Liaise with certification bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to maintain credibility and compliance. CSR Project ExecutionOversee execution and impact measurement of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives aligned with business strategy.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including customers, to plan and implement socially responsible projects. Monitor project progress using performance indicators, ensuring timely reporting and alignment with CSR goals. Monitoring & ReportingDevelop and manage sustainability KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
Leverage data analytics and digital tools to evaluate performance, improve traceability, and optimize sustainable sourcing decisions. Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Background10 years of experience in procurement, sustainable sourcing, or sustainability roles with exposure to agriculture-based industries and backward integration models. Proven experience in leading cross-functional sustainability initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Domain ExpertiseStrong knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, TCFD) and circular economy principles. Experience in ESG risk management, supplier development, and value-chain sustainability. Familiarity with certification programs in agriculture and ethical sourcing.
Technical SkillsProficient in data analytics, life cycle assessments, carbon footprint analysis, and sustainability performance tracking. Strong understanding of sourcing tools, supplier assessment platforms, and sustainability reporting software. Desired Skills & Attrib
