Job Title Farm & Research Coordinator

About this Role:

The Farm and Research Coordinator is a key link between farms, suppliers, and the manufacturing unit. This role involves frequent travel across India to identify and evaluate organic farms, coordinate raw material supply, manage vendor qualification, and ensure compliance with export requirements for the US market.

Duties:

  • Farm Sourcing: Identify and coordinate with USDA-certified organic farms and suppliers across India.
  • Conduct farm visits to monitor compliance, quality standards, and supplier practices.
  • Arrange and dispatch ingredient samples for testing and verification.
  • Support vendor qualification by verifying organic practices and farm documentation.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage MOQ negotiations, logistics, and supplier deliveries to the manufacturing unit.
  • Maintain detailed records, logs, and compliance documentation for US buyers and audits.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials for manufacturing in India to meet export schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or Supply Chain (preferred).
  • 2 years' experience in farm coordination, procurement, or supply chain management (preferred). Fresh graduates with relevant degrees may also apply.
  • Understanding of USDA Organic/NOP certification standards is essential.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Tamil and Hindi preferred for field coordination.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
    • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes related to raw material movement and manufacturing supply.

Working Conditions:

This role requires extensive travel across India and working in various environmental conditions.
