Supply Chain Manager Job Description

The role of Supply Chain Manager is pivotal in overseeing the entire supply chain function, encompassing procurement, vendor development, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This position demands a thorough understanding of SCM strategies and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • SCM Strategy Development: Formulate and implement effective SCM strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Purchase Order Generation & Vendor Management: Manage PO generation, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
  • Material Dispatch & Logistics: Ensure seamless and timely material dispatches in line with customer requirements and project deadlines.
  • Inventory & Material Management: Oversee material planning, stocking, and distribution to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Invoicing & Documentation: Supervise vendor invoicing, documentation, and payment processing with precision and timeliness.
  • MIS Reporting: Generate SCM-related MIS reports for senior management review and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead and mentor the SCM team to achieve business objectives and drive process enhancements.
