Job Title: Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support payroll operations and accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage sensitive data with discretion.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply general accounting principles to payroll operations.
2. Ensure payroll processes follow established policies and procedures.
3. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll accounting results.
4. Collect, enter, and report data with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
5. Prepare monthly/weekly bank reconciliations and journal entries.
6. Perform monthly/weekly subledger reconciliations.
7. Review payroll-related entries and conduct reconciliations and analysis.
8. Ensure supporting documentation aligns with compliance policies.
9. Prioritise and delegate team tasks efficiently.
10. Compile summaries of earnings, taxable and non-taxable wages for reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. 2-4 years of experience in accounting and reconciliation roles.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
4. Hands-on experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
