Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced data engineer to lead our data engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala), AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to build scalable ingestion and transformation workflows across cloud platforms.
  • Build data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, and AWS Glue.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application developers to support advanced analytics, reporting, and ML workflows.
  • Implement job orchestration, monitoring, and error handling for reliable pipeline execution.
  • Maintain and support data pipelines.
  • Perform data load monitoring.
  • Conduct data validation and quality checks.
  • Identify and optimize ingestion pipelines in consultation with customers.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for data-related issues.
  • Investigate Glue job failures and restart them.
  • Fix minor transformation logic or input data issues.
  • Resolve dependency failures in Glue workflows.
  • Tune job configurations.
  • Conduct impact analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Work on an 8x5 support model.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

6+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud computing data development.

Expertise in designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala), AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory.

Experience working with structured and unstructured data to build scalable ingestion and transformation workflows across cloud platforms.

Knowledge of building data lake and data warehouse solutions using AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, and AWS Glue.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
