Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to modernize our clients' data infrastructures and architecture.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud-first strategies, designing and developing scalable data systems, and mentoring client teams on the latest approaches and tools.

A strong understanding of Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse, is essential. The ability to work with Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture, as well as securing Azure environments using RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Security Center, is also required.

Additionally, experience with Kafka, Spark, Scala, Python, Linux administration, and networking is necessary. Scripting skills and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using PowerShell, Bash, and ARM templates are also beneficial.

  • Consult with clients on cloud-first strategies for core business data initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership on process and technical matters
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support the modernization of client data strategy, including infrastructure, collection, transmission, processing, and analytics

Mentoring and educating client teams to keep them up-to-speed with the latest approaches, tools, and skills is crucial. This role requires a strong problem-solving skillset, sound business judgment, and demonstrated leadership abilities.
