Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data solutions that support various business functions across a world-class manufacturing organization.

This role will involve architecting, designing, and optimizing complex data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Services. The ideal candidate should be deeply curious about the evolving data landscape, passionate about innovation, and committed to enabling AI-powered business capabilities through high-quality, well-governed data.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader and mentor, driving best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data solutions and champion documentation, metadata management, and data governance practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Architect, design, and optimize complex data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Services.
  • Lead the development of scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data is timely, accurate, and complete.
  • Design and maintain enterprise-grade data models using star and snowflake schemas.
  • Write and review advanced SQL, including CTEs, aggregations, and complex joins.

The successful candidate should have 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Databricks and a strong focus on Azure and Databricks. They should also have expert-level proficiency in Python, PySpark, and distributed data processing, as well as a deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT best practices.

Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, including strategic thinking, the ability to influence across teams, and a commitment to mentorship, team development, and technical excellence.
