Pastry Chef Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading the pastry culinary team and ensuring that high-quality pastries are consistently prepared for all areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating honesty and integrity, and advocate sound financial business decision-making.
  • Utilize your interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Supervise and manage employees, understand their positions well enough to perform duties in their absence, and ensure they understand expectations and parameters.
Culinary Standards
  • Develop, design, or create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
  • Recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavor, and maintain food preparation, handling, and storage standards.
  • Support procedures for food, beverage, portion, and waste controls, and follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Customer Service
  • Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards, and meeting the expectations of customers on a daily basis.
  • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
Culinary Goals
  • Achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Train employees in safety procedures and supervise their ability to follow loss prevention policies to prevent accidents and control costs.
