Corporate Tax Associate Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with senior associates and managers to support client engagements.

You will be responsible for preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships, as well as collaborating with senior team members to identify and resolve issues. You will also research tax laws, rules, and regulations, analyze their application, and defend decisions or outline solutions.

In addition to your technical skills, you will participate in a wide range of projects, demonstrate creative thinking, and individual initiative. You will also assist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior associates and managers to support client engagements.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Research tax laws, rules, and regulations, analyze their application, and defend decisions or outline solutions.
  • Participate in a wide range of projects.
  • Assist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of corporate and partnership income tax compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Exposure and hands-on experience on the whole cycle of income tax compliance (PBC Request / Data Review / Workpapers / Return Preparation / Review / Delivery).
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to collaborate with leads and other team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field.
  • Ability to solve problems and make educated decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to details.
  • Team-player, customer-centric attitude.
