Oracle Database Migration Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle database migration specialist to lead our end-to-end migration lifecycle across various platforms.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leading large-scale Oracle migrations, managing complex multi-cloud environments, and ensuring seamless database delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices for zero/near-zero downtime and high availability/disaster recovery.
  • Plan, design, and execute database migrations across Data Center-to-Data Center, cloud setups, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Manage end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN, and implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, proactive alerting, migration tracking, and validation.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, Exadata Cloud@Customer implementation and management, Oracle Data Guard setup, switchover, failover, and role transitions, Rubrik for backup and DR integration, RMAN for backup/recovery and cloning, OEM for monitoring and migration validation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
