Site Reliability Engineer - Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our platform's infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical projects from concept to delivery, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Analyze system logs, debug code, and implement solutions to optimize system performance and reliability
  • Design and develop monitoring systems, automated alerting, and logging tools to support proactive incident response
  • Collaborate with other SREs and Platform Engineers to develop and maintain operational playbooks, mitigation strategies, and runbooks
  • Work closely with Product Engineering teams to deliver observable, resilient software that meets business needs
  • Implement automation scripts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for system reliability
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 2+ years' experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering roles
  • 1+ years' experience working on a SaaS platform
  • Proficient in PHP/Laravel development and proficient in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Proven track record in maintaining high-availability, high-performance production environments
