Job Title: Human Resources Strategic Partner

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to spearhead our human resources function. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business outcomes through effective HR practices, policies, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partner – Develop and implement employee relations and human resource strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding – Acquire talented workforce within timeframes that ensure business continuity. Identify manpower requirements based on business priorities and plan budget accordingly. Ensure best-in-class onboarding experiences for new joiners.
  • HR Manpower Planning and Budgeting – Assist in the budgeting process of all HR items, including manpower costs and operational expenses. Review and monitor actual spend versus approved budgets, ensuring optimum utilization of manpower budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Performance Management – Drive continuous performance management and annual compensation reviews. Train line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback, enabling business leaders to make informed decisions regarding promotions, compensation revisions, and other personnel matters.
  • Talent Management – Implement periodic talent management reviews and develop/retain plans for critical roles. Create and implement succession plans for key positions, understanding talent priorities and identifying development needs.
  • Learning and Development – Foster a culture of learning and high performance. Identify training needs, prepare training calendars, and evaluate training efficacy. Collaborate with the corporate HR team to implement various training programs.
  • HR Compliance and Statutory Obligations – Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations by monitoring and implementing applicable statutes. Maintain records and represent the organization at various associations related to human resources.
  • Labour Management – Maintain harmonious and productive industrial relations. Track productivity and identify areas for cost savings. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for manpower vendors and maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Employee Engagement and Wellbeing – Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and wellbeing. Lead wellbeing initiatives to promote holistic wellbeing among employees.
  • HR Operations – Supervise and review all HR operations related to the employee lifecycle, focusing on streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Guide and Coach HR Team Members – Provide guidance and coaching to HR team members to take on more responsibilities, manage stakeholders effectively, and develop next-generation leaders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MBA HR or Masters in Human Resource Management
  • 15+ years' experience in handling HR functions, preferably in a manufacturing setup

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • HR operations, industrial relations
  • Understanding of labor legislations
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent management skills with ability to influence senior-level stakeholders
