About the Role

We seek an experienced and skilled individual to drive product development as a Backend Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Build and maintain core backend systems using PHP and Laravel, ensuring scalability for a growing platform. Design and manage APIs to power frontend applications and third-party integrations.
  • Code Quality & Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support a reliable product. Debug and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and handle scale.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to deliver customer-focused solutions. Actively contribute to discussions around product features and technical approaches.
  • System Maintenance & Innovation: Continuously monitor and maintain secure and stable backend systems. Identify opportunities to enhance system capabilities or improve processes.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-2 years of backend development experience, preferably in a startup environment. Proven track record of delivering impactful features in a lean setup.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP and Laravel for backend development. Strong knowledge of MySQL for managing complex databases.
  • Mindset: Startup mentality: adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of tasks. Customer-focused approach with a strong problem-solving mindset.
