Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead the development, evaluation, and management of nutrition-focused proposals and grants.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic leads and cultivate a pipeline of nutrition-specific concepts and proposals that align with our thematic strategy and multi-year grantmaking goals;
  • Collaborate to curate problem statements from time to time and co-develop RFPs;
  • Evaluate relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking at regular intervals and/or support the program team in conducting the same;
  • Undertake thorough budget assessments for new proposals;
  • Support the organization of sectoral meetings, roundtables, consultations, and workshops as per plan;
  • Work collaboratively with the team to conduct desk reviews of strategies or action plans from time to time in consultation with senior advisors and heads of programs. This will necessitate conducting research and ground assessments and identifying potential needs;
  • Manage multiple programs and initiatives; End-to-end responsibility from onboarding grants to closure, adhering to established processes and providing supervision and support to grantees;
  • Facilitate timely grant reports and fund disbursements to grantees;
  • Independent grant management and may also require supporting other team members in this area;
  • Identify learnings and lessons from projects and initiatives and develop knowledge products;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional units such as finance, legal, communications, etc. as and when required;
  • Produce high-quality content for diverse audiences – case studies, reports, concept notes, pitch decks, articles/blog posts, etc.;
  • Contribute to the development of annual work plans and budgets collaboratively;
  • Maintain strong relationships with grantees and partners.
