About the Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our India business expansion efforts. This role is pivotal in driving growth initiatives and facilitating the energy transition through innovative, finance-focused approaches.

The successful candidate will lead market development activities and manage complex projects that align with our mission to advance climate and energy solutions.

About You

  • You have at least 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development.
  • You possess exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community.
  • You have a deep understanding of India's electricity, capital, and financial markets.
  • You have a proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance.
  • Prior experience in team management or a supervisory role is preferred.
  • You are highly professional and reliable in your approach.
  • You have proficiency in financial modeling.
  • You are a strong team player with the ability to manage both teams and large transactions.
  • You have a proven success in client management.
  • You are entrepreneurial, creative, and self-driven.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage established relationships and networks to develop, structure, and close financial transactions for current and upcoming energy transition projects in India.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
  • Effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, other consultants, key industry players, and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise and prepare client deliverables, including research and write-ups, papers, concept notes, and presentations.
  • Lead the management of transactions and engagements.
  • Conduct due diligence, prepare, and review financial models, and support financial analysis for debt, equity, and hybrid financing structures.
  • Mentor team members, foster collaboration, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team to support our mission and client goals.
